{riding} a bike. I staggered out of bed earlier than I needed to be up to get Big to cadets D of E, and as I met her in the kitchen she said – go look at the sky. So I did, and then I went back inside, asked to borrow her bike, and peddled off up the road to the sea front. Result is on instagram, obviously. (I will pay for this unaccustomed exercise in the morning.)

{walking} to the woods. I’ve been trying to get the little ones there all week, and today I told them I was going without them, which worked perfectly. *Makes a note*. It was glorious weather for a walk, and the little ones are mainly good company. Need to work on woodcraft with them though!

{eating} bacon sandwiches. And £1 of pick and mix from poundland. (Sharing it!)

{failing} at decluttering. Although I’ve got 3 bags of stuff in the hall to head out of the house, and a growing pile of bits to try selling in the local groups.

{not really} reading. Sigh.

{watching} What we did on our holidays on Netflix. Gentle family comedy about a very dysfunctional family and a dying grandfather, beautifully played by Billy Connolly. The real stars though are the children, particularly Lottie (and given that the other male lead is David Tennant, that’s saying something). I don’t usually do spoilers, but I will point out if you’re planning on watching this with children you are going to want to read the full description, sensitive kids could be upset by the story.

Big went on her Duke of Edinburgh expedition training today – she’s making real progress towards the Bronze award. Small is really enjoying programming again, computer club has fired him up nicely. Smallest knows what what a hypothesis is, and how you test them  – learnt it from dinosaur train apparently. Tigerboy is very good with 2 digit numbers, he spots them on house doors and reads them out.

I’m loving getting creative in all kinds of way around my creators circle, and I’m really loving the instaretreat course I’m following and how it’s helping me think about my photography 🙂
